Nice to meet you!

At Sweater Season, I provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and evidence-based therapy to children, teens, and young adults. My assessment experience informs my approach to therapy, and vice versa. I meet with patients virtually and at my therapy office in Arlington, MA. While I am primarily a clinician, I also enjoy teaching undergraduate and doctoral students as an Associate Lecturer at UMass Boston, where I earned my PhD in 2016. It was a privilege to begin my career at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where I completed post-doctoral training, and served as a faculty member and staff psychologist for three years.

A Massachusetts native, I grew up in both Malden and Walpole, and I graduated from Wellesley College in 2006. I am the mother of two young children, and our joys are New England roadtrips, backyard parties, live entertainment, and arts and crafts.

Evaluations

I conduct comprehensive neuropsychological/psychoeducational evaluations for patients in elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and graduate school. Each evaluation includes cognitive assessment (including verbal skills, visual-spatial skills, nonverbal/fluid reasoning skills, learning and memory skills, information processing speed, attention, and executive functions), academic assessment (including reading, written expression, and math skills), and socioemotional/behavioral assessment.

I am best able to serve patients who are experiencing ADHD, learning differences (including dyslexia), anxiety (including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, specific phobias, and obsessions and compulsions), depression, parent-child behavior challenges, life transitions, friendship problems, academic stress, and perfectionism. Much of my graduate training, including my dissertation, was focused on autism, and I continue to enjoy working with autistic young people and their families.

The comprehensive evaluation process consists of a one-hour virtual parent interview, approximately 6 hours of in-person testing (completed over 1 or 2 days at my Arlington office), the preparation of a user-friendly written report, and a one-hour virtual feedback meeting to review findings together. I complete all parts of the evaluation personally. The flat fee for comprehensive evaluations is $5950; expedited services and additional work (such as attending school meetings) are billed separately. I am an out-of-network provider.

Therapy

My therapeutic approach is gentle, playful, encouraging, and kind. I most frequently draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), humanistic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) principles in working with my patients, who are culturally and clinically diverse.

I have a limited number of afternoon/evening and weekend slots for new therapy patients. Sessions are available in-person at my Arlington office and virtually. Sessions (45-50 minutes) are $325. While I do not work with any insurance companies directly, I am paneled with Lyra. If applicable, patients (and their dependents) are welcome to use their Lyra benefits to cover sessions with me.
